Background

The June 2010 Minority Bridge Program (MBP) Workshop brought together undergraduate and graduate minority students, faculty and administrators from doctoral-granting institutions (DGIs) and minority serving institutions (MSIs) who are committed to increasing minority representation in physics.

This group gathered to discuss operational plans for establishing effective and sustainable bridge programs in physics with a focus on issues such as:

  • Recruitment
  • Student Financial Need
  • Faculty and Administrative Commitment
  • Mentoring
  • Career Awareness
