The National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program has been funding undergraduate research site programs for over 30 years. NSF is interested in bringing together the leaders of these programs on an occasional basis to help improve programs and consider collective actions.
Representatives from NSF-funded physics REU sites assembled for a two-day workshop to discuss effective practices at existing sites and suggestions on how to improve physics REU programs.
In 2008, representatives from NSF-funded physics sites gathered for a two-day workshop to discuss effective practices in the current REU programs and to learn more about effective practices in programs outside of the NSF-REU Physics Sites.
