This graph shows the number of physics bachelor's degrees conferred as the first or second major at US institutions. The data include both US citizens/residents and temporary residents, the latter of which represent approximately 5% of those degrees conferred. The graph also includes the number of bachelor's degrees awarded in the STEM fields (this includes the Medical Sciences) over the same time period.
