Imprisoned Chinese Physicists

Email | Print

(Adopted by Council on April 25, 1992)

The Council of the American Physical Society expresses deep concern about the ongoing harsh treatment of Chinese scientists and students arrested and imprisoned for the non-violent expression of their political opinions. The APS Council asks Chinese authorities to release these scientists, such as physicist Liu Gang, so that they may resume normal study and scientific work.
