Augustine Urges Support for Science as Nation Remembers Sputnik 50 Years Ago

Norman Augustine, retired CEO and chairman of Lockheed Martin Corp. and chairman of the National Academies' committee that wrote the highly acclaimed report, "Rising Above the Gathering Storm," calls for a renewed investment in math and science education and funding for physical sciences and engineering as the country remembers the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik.
