Priority Access for Users of Helium in Research
In 1996, the Bureau of Land Management established an “In Kind Program” which permitted Federal users and all Federal grantees priority access to helium from the Federal reserve. Late last year, the BLM created a new web interface for them to register and for the BLM to collect data validating helium requests for consideration as In-Kind volumes. If you use helium in your research, please visit the BLM Amarillo home page to get more information about registering for the In-Kind program.
By registering and reporting helium volumes, users are protected from future allocation reductions during times of shortage and are therefore guaranteed shipment.
