Carbon Nanotube Material vs. Silicone Rubber
The shaking tables in these three videos show that a new carbon nanotube-based material stays flexible over a wide range of temperatures, from -190C to room temperature (RT) to 900C. The paper sumo wrestlers easily keep their feet when riding on a cushion of carbon nanotube material, regardless of the material’s temperature, while the silicone rubber only helps the wrestlers at room temperature.
