Structures in the Noise Fluctuations

In experiments on quantum systems, scientists have found that the noise fluctuations in the measurement are not random, but rather correlated. The behavior of such correlation is related with the quantum orders present in the system. By measuring such correlations, scientists are able to detect the quantum orders that are otherwise difficult to observe. In the experiments of ultra-cold atoms, such measurement have lead to in-depth study on a wide range of topics in quantum many-body physics, including superconductivity and the detection of supersolid.
