Encapsulation of Graphene in Phospholipid Membranes

We demonstrate by molecular dynamics simulations that graphene sheets could be hosted inside biological membranes. These hybrid graphene-membrane superstructures may be formed by preparing hydrated phospholipid micelles containing individual graphene flakes, which can be then fused with the membrane.
