On-site Services

Coffee Breaks
APS will offer complimentary coffee breaks to attendees. Location and hours TBD.

Parents' Quiet Room
APS will designate a room for quiet time and relaxation available to parents who bring young children to the meeting. Location and hours TBD.

Program Changes Board
Last minute program changes are displayed on a board near the APS Village. If you're chairing a session, please stop bu to check if there are any late changes to your session.

Presenter Services

Speaker Ready Room
Be sure to visit the Speaker Ready Room to run through your presentation to ensure that it goes smoothly during your session. Location and hours TBD.

Audiovisual

All rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, screen, lavaliere microphone, and pointer. If you require additional equipment, it can be rented through the official APS AV vendor, Freeman AV. 

NOTE: The cost of additional equipment must be covered by the speaker. You are not allowed to bring/use your own projectors at the meeting.

APS Village

APS Membership Booth
Ask APS staff questions about membership, journal subscriptions, and other services.

APS Journals Booth
Editors of the APS journals and members of the editorial and marketing staff will be on hand in the APS Village and in the exhibit hall to answer any questions about the APS journal collection.

Contact Congress
Make your voice heard in Washington and help influence the funding levels for basic research by sending a letter to your Congressional delegation. APS staff will follow up each letter with a call or visit to Congressional staff.

APS Programs
APS develops and implements a range of programs that improve physics education, impact policy makers, increase diversity, inform the public, and reach out to physicsists around the world.

Browse t-shirts, bumper stickers, and more for great gifts to take back to your students and colleagues who were unable to attend the meeting. Pick out something fun for yourself, too!

Lost & Found
Lost items may be turned into and claimed at the APS Registration Desk.

Americans with Disabilities Act
APS wishes to take any steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently due to the absence of auxiliary aids and services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act. More Information

First Aid
A first aid station will be available at the convention center. Location and hours TBD. In case of an emergency, please contact an APS employee immediately.

Gender-neutral Bathroom
In an effort to make the meeting all-inclusive, a gender-neutral bathroom will be available in the convention center. Location TBD.

Badge Monitoring
All attendees must register for the meeting and wear their registration badge at all times beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Security personnel or staff may check badges before permitting admission to sessions or the exhibit hall. If your badge has been lost, you may receive one replacement badge free of charge at the registration desk. Additional replacements will cost $10 each.

Press Services

Press Registration

Press Room
A dedicated and staffed press room for registered journalists will operate throughout the meeting. Phones, computers, printers, free wireless Internet, and complimentary food service will be available. Location and hours TBD.

Mobile App
The APS Meetings mobile app is the best way to stay connected during the meeting. Check back this winter to download.

Internet Access
APS provides complimentary wireless service in designated "hot spots" and the exhibit hall.

Charging Stations
APS will offer complimentary, secure charging stations for your mobile devices. Look for them throughout the convention center.

APS TV

APS TV uses video as a platform to engage people in important issues within physics. APS TV will be on screens around the venue, in selected delegate hotels on dedicated TV channels, and available online and on social media platforms.

Partnering again with international film and broadcasting company WebsEdge, APS TV will produce a new daily episode during the meeting featuring conference news and in-depth reports.

Leading up to the meeting, WebsEdge will be reaching out to organizations to discuss the opportunity of producing a film about their work, to be included in the APS TV program.
