Satellite Meetings

Email | Print

Satellite meetings are those sponsored by non-APS groups. A list of these meetings will be posted here in early February.

Requests for satellite meetings must be submitted in writing to Terri Gaier in the APS Meetings Department by email (gaier@aps.org) or fax (301-209-0866) no later than January 18. Include in your request:

  • the name of the event,
  • requested date and time,
  • estimate of attendance,
  • room set-up requirements,
  • a-v requirements, and
  • food and beverage requirements.

All non-APS satellite meeting requests are subject to approval by APS. Please start now to plan your satellite meetings as space is limited and will be allocated on a space-available basis.

Note: All satellite meetings will be held in the headquarters hotel, the New Orleans Marriott.

He joined the R&D team at Wolfram Research (the creators of Mathematica) in 1994. Among others, he leads the development of the Wolfram Functions Site, a comprehensive collection of identities, properties, and graphics of mathematical functions. He is also the author of four-volume Mathematica GuideBook series, a comprehensive 5000-page guide to using Mathematica for solving advanced problems from mathematics and physics. His works emphasize the use of visualization for understanding and describing mathematical and physical models.
