NOLA Restaurants

Many of our best restaurants are in the Quarter. Some of the best are inexpensive and some are expensive and require advanced reservations. Most common is New Orleans French, either the upscale Creole or the spicier downscale Cajun. The Zugat Guide is reliable and complete.

Restaurants I recommend in the Quarter include:

Bayona — expensive, but worth the cost
Café du Monde — coffee and French donuts only
NOLA – one of Emeril’s three restaurants, expensive
Court of Two Sisters — all you want from the entire menu with live Jazz
Peristyle — expensive, usually worth the cost
K-Pauls — Paul Prudhome’s place
Galatoire’s — quintessential New Orleans, expensive
Gumbo Shop — jambalaya, gumbo
Brennan’s — elegant, THE New Orleans restaurant family, expensive
Palace Café — an excellent Brennan restaurant near the convention hotels
Acme Oyster House — for oysters and simple fish

Other good restaurants in and near the Quarter:

Emeril’s
August
Pelican Club
Bella Luna
Mr. B’s
Antione’s
Arnaud’s
New Orleans Grill
Cuvee

Recommended restaurants outside the Quarter:

Commander’s Palace — very popular
Clancy’s
Delmonico’s
Jacques Imo’s Café
Brigsten’s
Tavern on the Park
Café Degas
