The Industrial Physics Forum (IPF) brings together speakers from industry, academia, and government who are leaders in industrial applications of physics. IPFs are designed to highlight the workforce and technical needs of industry so that APS members can have a broad perspective of how physicists and physics contribute to the global economy. Organized by the Corporate Associates of the American Institute of Physics and the APS Forum on Industrial and Applied Physics (with support from the APS Division of Biophysics), the IPF will explore, "Physics and the Future Economy," with invited sessions focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, nanomanufacturing, and biophysics. IPF attendees will gain insight into applications of physics far beyond the university laboratory and have the opportunity to network with scientists on the leading edge of the future economy.
