About the Webinar

The three most common career paths for physics PhD graduates are jobs in industry, jobs in government Labs, and jobs in academia—yet the standard hiring practices for each of these areas are not necessarily the same. Students, early career physicists, and mid-career physicists transitioning between these areas many find themselves wondering how to navigate the process.  In this webinar, members of the APS Committee on Careers and Professional Development (CCPD) discuss common hiring practices in each of these contexts.

Crystal Bailey, Education and Careers Program Manager at APS, moderates the discussion.
