APS and CERN Make LHC Articles Open Access

RIDGE, NY – APS and CERN are pleased to announce that the initial experimental results from the LHC published in Physical Review Letters and Physical Review will be made available Open Access and under a Creative Commons license, for all interested parties to read and reuse. With this gesture, APS and CERN acknowledge the fundamental significance of the work being performed by these large international collaborations.

The American Physical Society is the world's largest professional body of physicists, representing over 47,000 physicists in academia and industry in the US and internationally. It has offices in College Park, MD; Ridge, NY; and Washington, DC.
