Iron-Titanium Nanowires

Titanium nanotubes modified with iron additions could provide a novel multifunctional nanostructured material with magnetic, semiconducting and catalytic properties.

These modified nanotubes were subjected to a systematic thermal treatment in a variety of atmospheres for crystallization which gave them the appearance of hay bales or shredded wheat.
