Nominations

Nomination Deadline: February 9, 2018

Selecting high quality leadership is one of the most important activities any organization can undertake to insure its continued good health. The opportunity to contribute to this process for 2018 elections is provided below. All nominations submitted will be considered by the APS Nominating Committee as they draw up a slate for the 2018 APS Annual Election. Candidates elected will begin their terms January 1, 2019.

Supporting biographical documentation is very important. Ideally you should include one or two paragraphs of career highlights and a few sentences on why your nominee is particularly qualified for the position. You are welcome to suggest multiple names for the same position by submitting the form as often as necessary. You are also encouraged to send additional information such as CV's to bullis@aps.org. Nominees MUST BE members of the Society. Thank you for helping to maintain the democratic traditions of the APS. The most important information you can provide is your own summary and recommendation statement in the COMMENT section. The DEADLINE for submission of nominations is FEBRUARY 9, 2018.

Attracting and serving a diverse and inclusive membership worldwide is a primary goal for APS. In calling for nominations, we wish to remind you how important it is to give full consideration to qualified women, members of underrepresented minority groups, and scientists from outside the United States.
